Dr. Marina Funtik began her dental career from the ground up, starting as a dental laboratory technician in Europe. She then moved to the United States and graduated from the Pikes Peak Community College Dental Assisting Program, earning the Outstanding Dental Assisting Student Award, Rising Star Award, the All-Colorado Academic Team Award, and dean’s scholarship. With her strong background in chemistry, she then graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from St. Lawrence University on a full-ride scholarship.

Her dental and science backgrounds made dental school a natural choice. Dr. Funtik earned her DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and then culminated her education as chief prosthodontics resident earning  a masters of dental science, receiving numerous accolades including the Hanau Excellence in Prosthodontics Award and Dentsply Award. She is board certified in the specialty of prosthodontics.

Dr. Funtik was named a Rising Star in 2015 and a Woman of Influence by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2016. She currently serves on the clinical faculty for the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) teaching facial esthetics nationally.

In her free time, she loves the outdoors and spending time doing Bible study.
