Matthew Chang, MD, is extremely honored to have been named one of Colorado Springs’ Top Doctors for seven consecutive years: 2016-2022. When Dr. Chang started his career in ophthalmology in 2003, he knew he wanted to help people live better quality lives with improved vision. He has been living his dream for the past 19 years. As a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, Dr. Chang has performed over 75,000 procedures, including 40,000 cataract and 10,000 LASIK surgeries.

“Receiving this award means everything to me, and it makes me want to work even harder to make my patients happy,” says Dr. Chang. “Since the pandemic started, it has become more important than ever to make sure our patients feel safe and comfortable when they visit our office. Over the past two years, we have actually experienced an increase in the number of people who want to improve their vision – either through vision correction such as LASIK, cataract surgery or other procedures. Our entire team has worked incredibly hard to overcome COVID-19 restrictions and staffing challenges so we could continue to not only provide advanced eye care but do so with the highest level of respect for our patients’ time, concerns and vision goals.”

The foundation of Dr. Chang’s treatment philosophy for every single patient is to provide compassionate, personalized care using the very latest surgical techniques. “Our team has no plan to slow down,” explains Dr. Chang. “We want to uphold our long-standing excellent reputation in southern Colorado.
