DR. GARZA completed his undergraduate and medical education at Vanderbilt University. He has a special interest in esophageal disease and GI malignancy and has also performed many endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP procedures at Penrose and St. Francis Hospitals, where he serves as Chairman of the Dept. of Medicine. Dr. Garza is our president and is interested in GI practice management and improving care. Garza regularly works with elected officials and representatives in Congress as part of the Digestive Health Physicians Association and is on the Physician Advisory Board for GastroGPO.

DR. LUNT offers our patients expertise in multiple areas of advanced endoscopy and life-changing therapies for fecal incontinence. He is a native Coloradoan, avid skier, kayaker, sailor, and outdoor enthusiast. He has been a physician leader for many years, directing our endoscopy center since its inception in 2005 and in a recurring role as the physician director for the GI labs at Penrose and St. Francis hospitals.

With ten physicians and seven advanced practice providers, Associates in Gastroenterology have provided excellent care in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Colorado Springs for 41 years, treating the whole spectrum of GI disease, offering access to dietician services, pelvic floor disorders, and incontinence treatment, advanced motility assessment, and non-invasive ways to assess liver disease. Our main office is on the Audubon Medical Campus, and the other is on the new St. Peregrine Pavilion on the St. Francis Medical Center campus, where our latest endoscopy center opened to serve patients in our great city’s eastern and northern parts, which complements our original Endoscopy Center of Colorado Springs (ECCS).
